We congratulate Hon. Peter H. Kirwan (Ret.), a former Santa Clara County Superior Court judge, and Hoge Fenton shareholder, on joining the panel of neutrals at Signature Resolution, a leader in alternate dispute resolution.

The Hon. Peter H. Kirwan (Ret.) was a judge for the Superior Court of Santa Clara County, California. He was appointed to the bench in 2006 by former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Judge Kirwan attended the University of California, Berkley, earning a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1982. In 1986, he completed his juris doctorate from Santa Clara University Law School.

Kirwan began his legal career in 1986 as an associate at Hoge, Fenton, Jones & Appel. During his fifteen-year tenure with Hoge Fenton, he specialized in civil litigation and was elevated to shareholder in 1994. In 2001, Kirwan co-founded Needham, Davis, Kirwan & Young and was a partner there before being appointed to the bench in 2006.

Throughout his career, spanning more than three decades in private practice and at the Santa Clara County Court, Judge Kirwan was committed to fair and effective dispute settlement. Joining Signature Resolution as a neutral allows him to continue this mission by assisting parties in finding common ground and achieving equitable outcomes.
